P. ZAK COLANGELO is an associate in the firmís appellate and insurance coverage departments. He graduated from Washington and Lee University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature. He then received his law degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law in 2014. Upon graduation, he was awarded the prestigious Order of the Coif. Based on his performance on the Florida Bar Examination, he was invited by the Bar to write questions for and grade the Examination.
As a law student, Mr. Colangelo served as Editor-in-Chief of the University of Miami Business Law Review. He received Book Awards for achieving the highest grade in Admiralty Law, Contract Law, Constitutional Law, Federal Income Taxation, and Legal Communication & Writing. Along with University of Miami School of Law Professor A. Michael Froomkin, Mr. Colangelo co-authored Self-Defense Against Robots and Drones, which was published in the University of Connecticut Law Review in November 2015.
